The transfer window can be a strange time of year where rumours can come from any direction. The strangest rumours are always the most surprising ones and also the ones that don’t make sense at all.
And that is just what has seemed to have happened regarding Arsenal’s backup keeper, Aaron Ramsdale.
In recent weeks Ramsdale has been linked in a shock move to Stamford Bridge. With cause for concern from both Chelsea and Arsenal supporters, Fabrizio Romano has cleared the rumours up.
Romano told his YouTube subscribers in his latest video that, “At the moment, Chelsea are not negotiating for Aaron Ramsdale, have not made contact with the players side, have not made contact also with the club side. At the moment Chelsea are looking at different opportunities in different positions.”
Chelsea are set to be busy in January but it seems like a goalkeeper will not be on the agenda.
On the other hand, Chelsea might have to prepare for the scenario where the club become overloaded with goalkeepers, Slonina is currently out on a development loan whilst Kepa now sits on the Real Madrid bench, a new goalkeeper arriving will likely be the last position in mind at Stamford Bridge.
