With Chelsea needing outgoings to balance the books ahead of a potential hectic January, the rest of the country and beyond eye up the instability that is currently taking place in West London.
With big spends twice already this year alone, balancing the books will once again need to happen to allow incomings. Beyond Trevoh Chalobah, Chelsea don’t have any players who mutually believe moving on is the best cause of action.
One player who does have interest lurking across Europe is Ian Maatsen, according to The Athletic, Manchester City are ‘admirers’ but the report does also state the blues may need some convincing.
Chelsea currently have three natural left backs on the books, two are injured and the other isn’t seen as a full back option according to Pochettino.
Usually any outcasts would be up for sale but with both Chilwell and Cucurella out, selling Maatsen would continue to push the view of ‘profit over results’ and nobody wants that tag at Stamford Bridge.
