Romelu Lukaku has been speaking to the media once again.
This season the Chelsea loanee has spent his time back in Serie A with Roma. He started the campaign with Jose Mourinho in charge but since he departed the club earlier this month, the chances of Lukaku staying in Italy have shortened.
The Belgian international has scored 15 goals in all competitions so far this season but today he has turned his attention on the Saudi Pro League.
Lukaku said (via Fabrizio Romano), “In the next two years I see Saudi Pro League becoming one of the best in the world, if not the best.
The clubs make a lot of efforts to bring the ‘big’ players here. They are improving a lot”.
Lukaku rounded off by saying, “It could be the best competition in the world”.
With Lukaku reportedly having an option to buy release clause within his contract it will be interesting to see whether a club from Saudi Arabia take up this option.
