The first major departure from Stamford Bridge of the window looks like it’s just around the corner.
With the future of several players unclear, it seems like we are in the end game with one. Ian Maatsen’s time at Stamford Bridge looks like it will be coming to an end.
Fabrizio Romano has just published his trademark ‘here we go’ and the Dutch fullback will join Borussia Dortmund on loan with salary covered.
Maatsen’s salary will be covered by the German club but one interesting factor is the terms behind the loan. The Dutch fullback has made 12 appearances for Pochettino’s side this season, 11 coming from the bench and has just 18 months left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
Will Chelsea go into the market for a fullback now?
