Chelsea are looking to sell this window to balance the books relating to Financial Fair Play (FFP).

In order to make up for it, Chelsea are rumored to be willing to part with home-grown talent.

In recent weeks, Chelsea’s third captain, Conor Gallagher, has been linked with a move to rivals Tottenham Hotspur for around £60 million.

Gallagher has played in 19 of Chelsea’s 20 Premier League matches this season.

The England midfielder was heavily linked with a move away at the start of the season.

Despite this, Gallagher has proved to be an integral part of the squad.

His rumored move to North London now seems unlikely, however, with Spurs not being able to come up with the £60 million transfer fee due to Financial Fair Play concerns of their own.

When questioned on the matter last month, Pochettino said: ‘That is between the club and the player’

‘I don’t need to talk too much because it is not my decision. He is in the starting eleven in nearly all the games and is one of the captains. For me, he is the type of player that the club needs to have.’

Chelsea are hoping the outgoings will fund an incoming striker.

It remains to be seen whether that move will take place in the January window or in the summer window.
