The January window is heating up, in other words Chelsea are once again in the market looking for future stars.
Clearlake/Boehly once again look like they will be opening up the chequebook to add more ‘future stars’ to join the long list of projected talent at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have already signed Washington, Angelo, Santos and Paez from South America in the last 12 months and that looks set to continue according to the latest report coming out of Brazil.
According to Goal in Brazil, Chelsea have opened conversations with Palmeiras over 16-year-old attacking midfielder Estevão Willian. The fee is €45m but that also includes bonuses.
As Estevão Willian doesn’t turn 18 until 2025, under FIFA rules he wouldn’t be able to join the blues till then, similar to what has been proposed with Kendry Paez.
