As the transfer deadline approaches, teams are beginning to show panic as they look to complete deals before the window closes on February 1st.
As we know it’s no secret that Chelsea have eyes for a striker.
According to Matt Law in The Telegraph, Chelsea hold a ‘legitimate’ interest in Aston Villa striker, Jhon Duran.
One problem with Chelsea’s interest in Duran would be his ineligibility to support Chelsea in either cup competitions. He has already played for Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
Additionally, any move would likely come after Chelsea’s FA Cup tie against Aston Villa, and even if the blues were to progress to the next round Duran has already participated in the FA Cup.
Duran has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring just 4 goals but 2 were in the Europa Conference League.
With just over a week to go a sense of panic might be beginning to emerge.
