Plenty of movement around Stamford Bridge for both incoming and outgoing loanees as the transfer window begins to heat up.
Chelsea have today announced that defender, Zak Sturge has returned to Chelsea after a short term loan spell at League One side Peterborough United.
As for an outgoing loan departure, The Telegraph have confirmed that Alex Matos will join Huddersfield on loan until the end of the season.
Matos has been a regular first team member around Pochettino’s squad so far this season and the boss has recently spoken highly of the potential Matos holds. Matos has made just two appearances for Chelsea, coming off the bench against Fulham and Blackburn playing a combined 4 minutes.
Also reported within The Telegraph, Chelsea have terminated Andrey Santos’ loan deal at Nottingham Forest. The Brazilian made only one Premier League appearance for the midlands club.
The club paid around £18m for Andrey last year from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama. The Brazilian went on Chelsea’s tour of the United States before joining Nottingham Forest just before deadline day. It’s fair to say the move couldn’t have gone anymore wrong.
