Anthony Taylor has been confirmed as the referee for Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League clash against Fulham.
The West-London derby will have one of Europe’s “most experienced” referees with Taylor returning to Stamford Bridge for the 3rd time this season.
The VAR will be Michael Salisbury and this has been confirmed by the Premier League directly.
Taylor has been a known controversial figure when taking charge of Chelsea matches, his last being Chelsea’s 4-4 draw against Manchester City.
This will be Taylor’s 3rd Chelsea match of the season with the other two being against Liverpool and Manchester City, both ended in draws.
Since the start of 2021, Taylor has officiated thirteen Chelsea matches with Saturday being his 14th in three years. Out of those thirteen, the blues have won four.
The last four games with Taylor in charge have all ended in draws but astonishingly the blues are unbeaten in our last twelve with him in charge despite only winning four.
