Chelsea travel to Wolverhampton on Christmas Eve, the first game played on this date since 1995 and the last for a while.
Pochettino has had to entertain many injury factors since taking over as Chelsea boss with a minimum of 6 players out each week, Sunday is no different.
As for Wolves, Gary O’Neil has been handed a boost this weekend with the return of Pedro Neto and Jose Sa. Both are at different levels of a possible return.
The Wolves boss told the media ahead of the game (via Wolves’ website), “Pedro’s back training and has trained the full week with the lads, so we’ll see how he goes during the next two days to how much involvement he can have at the weekend. But training’s going well, he feels good, so let’s see how he is come Sunday.”
O’Neil went onto say regarding Sa via the club website, “Jose’s good. He trained fully the last couple of days, so he’ll be fit and ready for the weekend.”
As for Chelsea, there are no new injury concerns but Enzo Fernandez’ situation remains unclear, Enzo was subbed off in the first half of the Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle.
