As you would expect emotions ran high on Sunday afternoon as Chelsea ran out 3-2 winners against Brighton, to the point it boiled over at full time.
In stoppage time Brighton were awarded a penalty but after a VAR review the decision was overturned. As the ball became dead this results in a drop ball for the goalkeeper. With Sanchez receiving a fair bit of stick behind his goal in the second half, especially in the closing minutes. Sanchez made sure he had the final word.
As Craig Pawson’s full time whistle went in the 115th minute, tension seemed to go one step further as both managers entered the pitch along with both sets of players.
Sanchez is pictured responding to Brighton fans in the aftermath which you can see below, the reaction hasn’t gone down well with Brighton supporters.

The fall out was also captured from a Brighton fans perspective and they are certainly not impressed by the actions of their ex goalkeeper.
