After Chelsea’s 3-2 win to Luton Town this lunchtime. Pochettino was asked in his post match interview with TNT Sports what the forthcoming weeks hold in the transfer market.
Pochettino’s answer has been consistent in the build up saying it is a joint discussion with the owner, today was no different. He told TNT Sports after the game (via BBC Sport);
“It is a thing that we are going to discuss with the owner. At the moment the most important is to work with our squad and our team. Players need to step up and be part of the squad and be available…From the beginning of the season, we suffer many injuries.”
Pochettino perhaps gave a hint that he isn’t interested in strengthening next month, something that has been unusual under the Boehly/Clearlake era. He told TNT; “Personally, I am not thinking of going into the market but it is something we will discuss with the owners and the sporting director.”
Chelsea host Preston next week as the Emirates FA Cup kicks off. The full interview can be found below.
