The festive schedule is beginning to take its toll, a 3rd match in 8 days awaits on Sunday as Chelsea travel to Wolverhampton. With Crystal Palace on Wednesday and Luton the following Saturday it’s inevitable that rotation is going to take place.

Ahead of Sunday’s Christmas Eve clash, Mauricio Pochettino has officially ruled World Cup winner, Enzo Fernandez out of the game.

Pochettino told the media, via Football London, “Enzo is going to be out of the game against Wolverhampton. We are going to see if he can be involved again as soon as possible. You already have the information that it was a hernia and he also didn’t feel well. We are going to give treatment with the doctor. For me, it is not going to be a problem I think he is going to be as soon as possible again with the group.”

Chelsea play three matches between now and the start of 2024, 2 away and 1 at Stamford Bridge. All 3 opposition seem to be in a run of momentum so the week ahead will be no easy task for the blues.
