Chelsea travel to Molineux on Sunday to take on Wolves in the first Christmas Eve clash in 20+ years.
With a hectic schedule planned across the next 7 days, Pochettino has hinted at no time to rest. Scheduling at this time of year can become a real problem and add issues of integrity with some teams getting way more rest than others.
With Chelsea playing Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Pochettino has vowed there is no time to rest despite our opponents playing over 48 hours ago.
Pochettino told the media ahead of the game, via the Mail On Sunday; “We are going to train on the 25th. We cannot stop as we have another game on the 27th. I am not going to complain but Palace played on Thursday against Brighton. We cannot stop because the players need to understand there’s a very short space for recovery.”
Pochettino also went onto say; “I’m not going to complain but the organisation should be better because it’s not fair.”
Pochettino is not wrong but perhaps has left it far too late to kick up a real fuss.
