Pochettino has been speaking to the media following Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Preston North End.

Four second half goals from Broja, Madueke, Silva and Enzo ensured the blues would be in contention for the draw which takes place on Monday evening.

After the game Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the press and after a poor 1st half the boss made his thoughts clear. He told the BBC; “The first half I was a little disappointed. We started so sloppy. I told the players at half-time we needed to increase the energy and match that of Preston.”

They definitely did as Chelsea scored 4 second half goals, Pochettino was happy with the response,“The second half was a completely different game. We dominated, created chances and deserved victory. We showed a lack of desire in the first half and we were talking too much about their energy. They were better than us in this area. I was really disappointed but after we increased our level we started to play and deserved to win.”

Pochettino added he hopes to be back at Stamford Bridge for the next round.
