After Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Fulham, Cole Palmer has been speaking of the quality that this Chelsea team has as its disposal.

With Chelsea winning four home games in a row for the first since July 2020, the blues position in the league table is beginning to be on the positive side.

Palmer admits the current position is still not enough and told the club’s website after the game

“We need to get points on the board and climb up the table because, let’s be honest, the position we are in isn’t good enough with the talent we have in the squad. We know we can be a lot higher but we are starting to perform well now and I think we can push on by having a strong second half of the season.”

Palmer also told the club’s website that the disappointment on Tuesday is behind him. He said, “I’m a confident player and I believe in myself. In the week, I had one of those games but I’ve put it behind me and thankfully I’ve managed to stick the penalty away and help the team.”

Chelsea and Palmer now have over a week to prepare for the 2nd leg at Stamford Bridge.
