Chelsea are back to winning ways and round off 2023 at Stamford Bridge with a victory in front of a sold out crowd.
The blues left it late to grab all three points but at the end of the day, a win is a win.
After the game, match winner Noni Madueke spoke to Prime Video, who had plenty to say following tonights victory.
Noni said, “The crowd were great today, I know the atmosphere here’s rocking. They got us through it.”
Madueke was asked about the penalty claim, which was eventually given via VAR intervention. He told Amazon, “It was a stonewall pen, I knew it would be given I was trying to stay on ground as long as possible in it. It got given in the end and I was really happy about it of course.”
On wanting to start more games Madueke said, “You just want to be able to have an impact like I did today coming off the bench and I’m sure that’ll open up more opportunities in the future for me to start games, I know I got the ability to so yeah.”
Madueke took his opportunity today and with a trip to Luton on Saturday to come he will be hoping to go one step further and start.
