Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has been speaking to the media ahead of the return of the Premier League. Burnley travel to the Etihad tomorrow night to take on Manchester City.
One player that Kompany was asked about was new signing David Datro Fofana who has joined Burnley on loan from Chelsea. Kompany was asked what Fofana could bring to his side between now and the end of the season. He told the media;
“A striker that’s able to link, run in behind, strong, really strong physical attributes and his goalscoring record was good and then he went into a top five league in the Bundesliga where he built some experience I would say. I think he’s a player that can help us, we’re gonna need players like him.. in the second part of the season.”
Kompany was asked if Burnley have to adapt to him, he responded, “It’s more him strengthening us.”
Datro Fofana’s start to life in the Premier League looks a tough one as Burnley face Manchester City, Fulham and Liverpool in the next fortnight.
