The latest injury report ahead of the Carabao Cup Final against Liverpool is out and the number remains the same following the 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

Despite the numbers coming down in recent weeks, Chelsea have once again been dealt a tough blow in an injury ridden season. Ahead of the game against Liverpool the blues will be without 7 players, potentially rising to 8 if Thiago Silva can’t make the final.

The most recent addition to the injury report is midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, Pochettino confirmed last week in his press conference that he had “twisted his ankle.”

Another name on the list is Thiago Silva, the veteran defender came off in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace and is in a race against time to make Sunday’s final.

Chelsea are still set to be without Cucurella, James, Fofana, Lavia, Badiashile and Ugochukwu according to the club website.

As for our opponents, Alisson, Jota, Alexander-Arnold, Jones, Thiago, Matip and Bajcetic will miss the Carabao Cup Final with Szoboszlai, Nunez and Salah facing a late fitness test.

Liverpool assistant, Pep Lijnders refused to completely rule those three earlier in his press conference saying, “We have two more sessions, two days. We will check if they can be there.”

If those three were to miss the final then Liverpool’s number could rise to as much as ten.
