The latest injury report ahead of our Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough is out and the number isn’t getting any smaller. The blues will be without several players with the latest update tallying as much as 11, add in Jackson and that is 12.
It has today been confirmed by Chelsea Football Club once again that Chilwell, Badiashile and Chukwuemeka are in full training. This is a welcome boost as both have spent the majority of the season on the sidelines this season.
Chelsea are still set to be without Chalobah, Cucurella, James, Fofana, Lavia, Sanchez and Ugochukwu for this upcoming cup tie which will frustrate Pochettino.
Lavia has played just over half hour of football for Chelsea and has since been ruled out. The club website specify that he is undergoing his “rehabilitation programme”. The same applies for Ugochukwu who got injured in Chelsea’s Christmas Eve clash against Wolves.
Reports from France just yesterday suggested Nkunku would be back in time so we await to see what the final verdict is but the injury report states he is undergoing “medical assessment.”
Jackson will miss the game due to the African Cup of Nations kicking off soon.
