Injury report ahead of the Premier League return

The latest injury report ahead of our Premier League match against Burnley is out and the number seems to be on the rise once again.

Despite the numbers coming down at the beginning of the month, it seems like they are increasing as we head into April. Chelsea have once again been dealt a tough blow in an injury ridden season following the news that Romeo Lavia will miss the rest of the 23/24 campaign with just 1 bench appearance.

Malo Gusto, Carney Chukwuemeka all returned back from international duty as a precaution whilst Cole Palmer did not play any minutes after being ruled out for the Brazil clash. The game does come too early for Chukwuemeka.

Both Chalobah and Sanchez did not go on international duty, yet both of them find themselves undergoing “rehabilitation programme.” The numbers are baffling and hugely impacts the squad.

Chelsea are still set to be without James, Fofana, Lavia, Colwill, Nkunku, Sanchez, Chalobah, Chukwuemeka and Ugochukwu for this upcoming league fixture according to the club website, that now brings the total number to 9. In better news Benoit Badiashile has returned to full training.

Pochettino further extended Chelsea’s injury list by confirming that Ben Chilwell is a doubt for Saturday afternoon.
