Saturday afternoon was a close scare for Chelsea as the blues nearly crumbled in the latter stages of the 2nd half despite having a 3-0 lead.
Cole Palmer scored 2 on the day and assisted another in what was his most influential performance since signing from Manchester City over the summer.
Despite his influential performance, BBC pundit Garth Crooks had a warning for Palmer following Chelsea’s near collapse.
Crooks said in his latest column; “The English midfielder needs to watch himself. Ducking out of headers on defensive set plays doesn’t endear yourself to your team-mates, neither does suddenly losing touch with the game having scored two goals when really he should have been searching for his hat-trick.”
Crooks did have Palmer in his team of the week so you can only assume he is just looking out for the midfielder.
