The post match review of Tuesday’s shocking first leg defeat is still fresh in the memory.
One former blue who has been speaking on Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough is Frank Leboeuf.
Leboeuf has been laying into Pochettino’s approach and tactics post-match for ESPN and hinted he wanted to see some actual football. He said;
“Running is not enough, sprinting is not enough, If you don’t have an idea what you want to do, a tactic, a plan, there is no plan it’s like yeah ‘we keep the ball and we dont know what to do’.
I’m kinda optimistic about the second tie and the fact they are going to play at Stamford Bridge, but I’m not that crazy optimistic.”
Chelsea attempt to overturn that one goal deficit on January 24th at Stamford Bridge. Before then Chelsea host Fulham in the Premier League.
