Chelsea are in the market for a new striker, with Nicolas Jackson away for the AFCON with Senegal.

Whether injury concerns, poor finishing or a lack of goals all together, Chelsea have had striking woes for some years now.

One striker appears to have all of the above as of late, despite game time.

That said, as reported by @NizaarKinsella, this player is willing to fight for his future at the club.

Armando Broja, 22, has been at Chelsea since 2009.

Registering his first senior league appearance in the 2019/20 season, Broja has since played 56 times in the top division, both for the blues and Southampton.

Broja suffered a serious knee injury in a friendly against Aston Villa last season, and hasn’t yet hit the form prior.

So far this season, the Albanian international has 14 appearances in all competitions, starting just 5.

Now that his counterpart, Nicolas Jackson, is representing Senegal in the AFCON, game time is going to become a lot more regular for Broja.

However, if he plans on maintaining a first team position, goals are going to need to become far more consistent, with Broja currently registering a goal every 377 minutes.

Chelsea face Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup, and as per his press conference on Friday, Mauricio Pochettino made it all too obvious that the 22-year-old would feature from the outset.

Could this be the beginning of a regular spot for the Albanian?
