Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Brentford on Saturday in the Premier League, the pressure continues to rise on Mauricio Pochettino. Despite being unbeaten in the last 6 matches over 90 minutes the discontent is close to reaching the levels of post Wolves.

With Chelsea reportedly interested in Sporting Lisbon coach Rúben Amorim and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi it seems like Pochettino has a lot to do in regards to gaining trust from the supporters and those beginning the early stages of a manager search.

As we approach the final months of the season questions do need to be asked on whether any Chelsea player has improved under Pochettino to at least give a sign of hope into the future. Earlier this week I took to X to ask the question.

Just how many players have improved under Pochettino with names included? 41% of the overall vote went with 0. The 2nd highest was 3+ holding 21.1% of the vote with a further 20.2% going with 2.

With the majority going with zero I do tend to agree but at the same time there is a case to be made that Gallagher and Gusto have both improved as the season goes on.

A case can also be made with both Petrovic and Palmer but equally 3 of those 4 names mentioned are just following the positive trajectory which the sporting directors saw upon signing.
